Apostle Immanuel Weir

Immanuel Weir, or Apostle Mani, as he is often called was born in Suva, Fiji Island and came to Canada in 1974 when he was five years old. He began his work in ministry in his teen years when he dedicated himself to full-time ministry in evangelism.  He continued this work for nearly 3 years.

In the period 2005 to 2009, with his intense compassion for the less fortunate, Mani expanded the Heavenly Food Bank. What once was a small food pantry at Lighthouse of Hope Christian Fellowship serving up to a dozen people a week, became a food bank serving 150 or more people per week. Through the mercy of our Lord, the food distribution was expanded to include a few other charities as well, which now also benefits from the food rescue program.

In this period of time, they started a hot meal service to assist the less fortunate. From a single casserole a week (serving 20-30 people) this program grew into a full fledged buffet, with enough food for 250-300 servings each Sunday.

The buffet meal service has now been incorporated into the outreach service provided by The Metro Vancouver Dream Centre. Mani is one of it’s executive board of directors.

Today Apostle Mani is the Coordinator of the Church for All International Bible School which offers several weekly Bible Studies, special day seminars, workshops and conventions.

He is also a short term missionary and is working on several projects for Sengera, Kenya helping to build a school and church, HIV program, bringing awareness and resources for better health care, clean water and self-sustainability.

Mani has a keen interest to inspire young people and is currently working with schools in North America to participate in a cooperative manner with schools and students in developing countries such as  Kenya.

He believes strongly in the virtues of “received free, give free” which means being self-sacrificing and submitting to a servants, spirit in all of God’s service with the intensity of the love of Jesus. You will often find him jumping, praising and dancing before the Lord with full, unabated enthusiasm.
